A fine Napa chardonnay that bridges the round expressiveness of older styles and the taut freshness and focus of modern examples. Aromas of lemon confit, grapefruit, wet stones, white flowers, salted nuts and citrus oil lead to a finely balanced palate with bright acidity. The mouthwatering, zesty finish is full of flavor, carried by a supple texture. Sourced from Oak Knoll and Carneros. Drink or hold. 2,200 cases made.

Aged 10 months in 10% new French oak with the balance in neutral and once-used barrels, the 2024 Chardonnay offers clean citrus, honeydew melon, and floral nuances on the nose. It's medium-bodied on the palate, with a rich, nicely balanced mouthfeel, good acidity, and outstanding length. The Vintner Select cuvée might have a touch more precision, but this is pretty darn good. Drink 2026-2033.

The 2024 Chardonnay (Napa Valley) is terrific. Bright, lithe and nuanced, the 2024 strikes a balance between crispness and a bit more generosity vis-à-vis the 2023. Lemon peel, crushed rocks, mint, slate and white pepper are very nicely delineated throughout.
