2012 Cabernet Franc

2012 Cabernet Franc

Complex aromas of blackberry, raspberry, currant, anise and faded rose rise in waves as the wine reveals its broodingly multifaceted nature. The range of savory and spicy fruit flavors exude not only pleasure and enjoyment but also intrigue and mystery.  The texture is round and opulent and the finish keeps going.  This enticing wine exemplifies all we want to achieve with Cabernet Franc and is one we will be talking about (and enjoying) for years to come!

A brilliant effort is the 2012 Cabernet Franc (83% Cabernet Franc and 17% Cabernet Sauvignon aged 18 months in 40% new French oak). This beauty reveals plenty of forest floor, mulberry, black cherry and incense scents. The complex aromatics are followed by a medium to full-bodied, beautifully rich wine that is never heavy or overbearing. Enjoy it over the next 5-7 years.
